Raws li cov xov xwm tsis ntev los no, US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) tau xaiv 11 pab pawg los ua haujlwm rau thawj theem ntawm nws qhov Kev Pabcuam Kev Sib Txuas Lus Qhov Chaw (Space-BACN). Qhov project aims los tsim ib tug nqi qis, reconfigurable kho qhov muag kev sib txuas lus davhlau ya nyob twg uas yoog mus rau feem ntau optical inter-satellite link qauv los hloov ntawm txawv satellite constellations.
Qhov project Space-BACN yuav tsim ib lub network ntawm satellites nyob rau hauv qis-Earth orbit, ua rau kev sib txuas lus seamless ntawm cov tub rog, tsoom fwv thiab lag luam / pej xeem satellite constellations uas tam sim no nkag tsis tau.
Lub koom haum tau xaiv pab pawg los ntawm kev kawm thiab kev lag luam ntawm ntau qhov ntau thiab tsawg, ntau qhov kev cog lus DARPA thawj zaug.
Greg Kuperman, Tus Thawj Saib Xyuas Haujlwm Space-BACN ntawm DARPA's Strategic Technology Office, tau hais tias: "Peb npaj siab ua kom qhov kev thov Space-BACN yooj yim li sai tau raws li peb xav tau los txhawb nqa ob lub tuam txhab tiv thaiv uas twb muaj lawm thiab ntau lub tswv yim tshiab, Cov tuam txhab thev naus laus zis me, ntau yam uas tsis muaj sijhawm lossis cov peev txheej los txheeb xyuas cov txheej txheem kev cog lus ntawm tsoomfwv nyuaj. "
Theem 1 ntawm 14- hli Space-BACN qhov kev pab cuam ua raws li 15-lub lim tiam Phase 0, uas tsom mus rau kev txhim kho lub davhlau ya nyob twg tus qauv tsim qauv. Tom qab ntawd nws yuav nkag mus rau 20- hli Phase 2, uas yog tsom rau kev tsim cov qauv qauv ntawm cov khoom lag luam yav tom ntej.
Thawj qhov chaw xaiv los ntawm DARPA yog tsim kom muaj qhov hloov pauv tau, me me, lub teeb yuag, lub zog qis, thiab tus nqi qis ntawm qhov muag pom kev uas tuaj yeem ua ke rau hauv ib hom fibers. Cov tuam txhab raug xaiv rau lub hom phiaj yog CACI International Defence, MBRYONICS, thiab Mynaric, tom kawg uas tau koom nrog hauv Theem 0 ntawm Space-BACN.
Lub hom phiaj ntawm cheeb tsam thev naus laus zis thib ob yog los tsim kho qhov kho qhov muag modem uas txhawb nqa kev sib kis mus txog 100 Gbit / s ntawm ib lub wavelength. Qhov project xaiv yog II-VI Aerospace thiab Defense, Arizona State University, thiab Intel Federal.
Nws tau tshaj tawm tias Arizona State University's Wireless Information Systems and Computing Architecture Center (WISCA) tau txais 5.4 lab nyiaj daus las los tsim kho lub modem rov qab. WISCA yuav siv nws cov thev naus laus zis thev naus laus zis los tsim kho lub modem uas muaj peev xwm hloov pauv ntawm cov qauv tom qab kev teeb tsa thiab pib thiab siv thiab siv cov qauv tshiab.
Qhov chaw thib peb yuav txheeb xyuas cov lus txib tseem ceeb thiab kev tswj hwm cov ntsiab lus uas yuav tsum tau los txhawb kev sib txuas lus thoob plaws kev sib txuas ntawm optical inter-satellite txuas thoob plaws lub hnub qub thiab tsim cov qauv uas xav tau los cuam tshuam ntawm Space-BACN thiab cov hnub qub kev lag luam. Rau cov haujlwm hauv cheeb tsam no, DARPA tau xaiv SpaceX, Telesat, SpaceLink, Viasat thiab Kuiper Government Solutions.
Thawj theem ntawm Space-BACN yuav siv sijhawm 14 lub hlis los ntawm qhov kev pom ntawm cov ntsiab lus tseem ceeb ntawm kev nce qib, thiab yuav ua kom tiav qhov kev tshuaj xyuas ua ntej ntawm thawj ob qhov chaw thev naus laus zis, nrog rau cov lus qhia tag nrho ntawm cov khoom siv. Thiab qhov thib peb thev naus laus zis hauv cheeb tsam yuav tsim cov lus txib hla-constellation thiab tswj cov qauv thiab yuav ua kom pom kev sib txuas hauv ib puag ncig simulated los sim tus qauv rau cov xwm txheej hauv paus.
Tom qab ua tiav ntawm thawj theem, xaiv cov players los ntawm thawj ob qhov chaw thev naus laus zis yuav koom nrog 18-hli thib ob theem los tsim ib chav tsim qauv engineering rau lub rooj sib tham kho qhov muag. Cov neeg ua si hauv thaj chaw thev naus laus zis thib peb yuav txuas ntxiv kho cov xwm txheej kom ua haujlwm hauv cov xwm txheej nyuaj thiab muaj zog dua.
Thaum kawg, qhov project Space-BACN yuav tsim cov qauv kev sib txuas lus ntawm ntau lub satellites. Lub hom phiaj kawg, raws li DARPA, yog tsim kom muaj "internet" ntawm low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites uas yuav tso cai rau pej xeem, tsoom fwv thiab tub rog satellites yooj yim sib txuas lus.
